I haven't actually gone and looked at the car yet but it is a 1983 944, in the US near me.
He's currently asking $4,500USD for it.
As he says:
"This is a CLEAN 944 with out a scratch on it. New front brakes, new battery, new tires, and ready to roll. Aluminum wheels, and lugs. All original equipment down to the spare tire that's never been used. Looks good, runs good. 10 disk cd changer, More info please email. Serious inq. only please. This is an extremely clean car. You must see to app. it. and if this is what you are looking for, you will not find a better 944 at any price. There was never a spot of rust on this car. One of 3500 units sold in the US in '83. This car books on NADA for $7800 MUST SELL, Price reduced, and will not last at this price"
He admits that he doesn't know much about it, he had bought it for her daughter but she didn't want to learn how to drive standard.
Says that he replaced the fuel pump when he got it because it was bad, and converted it to turn key from push start that the previous owner supposedly did.
Here are the pictures I have so far.
Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

Other picture.
He has said the odometer doesn't work so he doesn't know how many miles are on it.

Hi, no idea what the values are like on your side of the pond but that car does not look like a top dollar car from the interior photo. The gear gaiter is missing, there is wiring hanging out of the dash, not deal breakers but show a lack of care. The dash has a cap on it, not a surprise as most if not all early dash's cracked.
Most recent history of timing belts and clutch are big bills to check for.

$4,500 is approx 2,715 Pounds
I was going to try and offer around $3-3.5k which would be 1,810-2,112.
Once I get some more photos and actually get to look at it I'm sure I will spot more issues and be able to try and haggle the price down some more.

Hi
I've an '83 944, and I agree with James - looks like its had a bit of a life.
Wiring hanging out shift lever gator missing.
Cam and balancer belts are the first question - 4 year/40K MAX
Clutch is good for high miles but very expensive if required.
Engines are good for lots of miles but look for normal stuff - smoke etc
See threads above as to what to llok for, but over here without a very good service history £1500 would be tops
Mike
