Looking for a 986..

I'm on the lookout for a Boxster - a manual - probably a 2.5, although a 2.7 might slip into budget

This is just a 4th car to be used for the occasional social trip out - I've got the 944 for trackdays and a 325D for the boring motorway stuff.

I've looked at a couple, but haven't driven anything that grabs me yet. This one looks nice
http://www.selectcarswatford.com/porsche-boxter/ - even if they can't spell..

This one also caught my eye
http://www.warmansmotorcompany.co.uk/index.php/view-stock/new-hawsurrey-porsche-boxster-24v-35/ - although I'm a bit suspicious about the front end...

As there are plenty around, I hope i can pick up one with a decent colour interior - black is my preferred option, definitely not brown or red.

Anyone thinking of selling - please drop me a pm or email

Thanks

Ed

Deposit placed on a lovely 3.2S - I thought the 944 forum was the only one people ever looked at on here but now I know better [:D]

Ed,

Couple of nice one's at paulfrench.co.uk

I had my car from him and he doesn't sell junk.

Worth a look.

Regards

Thanks Paul

I suspect the blue one came from ph sportscars - looks just like the one Paul had there just before Christmas. Nice car which drove well but I don't know how much more life there is in the clutch

Anyway, I'm picking up my mine next Monday. There's quite a difference between the 2.5 and the 3.2, and the noise is much better [:D] Ron has a silver hard top + cover + stand to sell as I don't want it. Might interest someone on here?

Congratulations - I do love the sense of anticipation when you are waiting for a new car. Don't forget, pictures are mandatory. Good luck in the snow [:D]

I'll do some before and after pics - at the moment it has clear lights and gt3 wheels. I'm going to put it back to standard ambers as I think it looks much better. Shame I cant put amber indicators on the litronics.

snow? it should be fine shouldnt it? - with all that weight over the rear wheels. Never had a problem in 944's [:D]

Good stuff Ed, did you stretch the budget or get a bargain?
I went out looking for a 2.5 and ended up with the 'S'. And I am so glad I did.
I take it is Silver? And you have a Red 944.

Alan.

Still within budget Alan - I hope I got a bargain[:D] ....yes it is silver

in fact I think boxsters are where the value really is in the porsche range - a similar condition 944 s2 would be more expensive now and a 944 turbo a good couple of thousand more.

The car doesn't have a completely full history, but has been with the same owner for the last three years, and has been well looked after. You can find out more about a car (and the attitude of the owner) when you buy privately I think.

It's just a bit frustrating to have to wait to pick it up, but I'm fitting it in with my work travel.
