Hello,

sorry if this is a repeated subject. I have read a few posts on the subject of bike/roof racks but they’re very old.

so as the subject suggests, would love to get some guidance on what and where to get such an equipment.

thanks in advance.

For a cab you'll need a RTS (Roof Transport System) 996.801.055.00 then you can put on a standard bike carrier, something like a Thule UpRide. Porsche did do a Universal Bicycle Carrier 000.444.000.05

There's an RTS on eBay, at £500 it looks about the same price as they were new.

Thanks Andy, Looks really cool but alas really expensive [] for something im probably only going to use once or twice a year.

If you have a Cabrio C4S/Turbo (wide body cars) don’t buy the RTS it will not fit. the RTS for Cabrio’s only fits the Cabrio C2 and C4 (narrow body cars).

Thanks for that. Is there a C4S option? And is it cheaper? [:)]

Sadly us wide body Cabrio owners were provided with no option here. The RTS sold so poorly that They didn’t bother integrating it in the wide body cars, the narrow bodies have a removable part on the corners of the clam shell for the mounting points. I’m currently looking to see if a narrow body clamshell will fit a C4S and if that would make an RTS fit but I’m assuming there’s more to it than that. also I think people complained about these removable tabs since they are pretty ugly so made sense to leave it smooth and ditch manufacturing the kit for Porsche. Shame though, very functional and unlike the Boxster version that mounts to the body the 996 mounted so I believe the top could be still operated up and down with the bars on as the clam shell lifts up the roof bars.
