Looking for a black cabriolet

Hi all,

After 7 or so happy years with the 964 I am looking for my bit on the side :p

I anyone considering selling their 944 'black cab' with linen interior and detailed service history? -I'm looking for a cherished car in excellent condition, I don't mind how many miles it has done, as long as it wears them well.

Thanks for any leads!

As I believe a 944 cab is automatically a 944S2, you could extend you search to include the 968 cabriolet.

Why black? It's the worst colour to get and keep looking really good, the number of folk on the 2 MB forums I frequent that complain about this! My preference was Guards Red (had 3 FE's in this colour), my cab was Tahoe Blue which I loved - she's still for sale at Max Bradley cars/Autotrader, although he's asking too much (yet again!).

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your feedback - I'm not keen on the looks of the 968. And yes, black is lot of work to keep looking good, but I enjoy detailing and the work pays off on a black car more than any other, in my opinion.

The 944 cab came in S2 and turbo form. They only made 100 RHD turbo cabs IIRC. Be even harder to find a black one of those!!

There was a black turbo cab down my way for a while was quite heavily modified at fairly large expense (for about 3 months) then put back to standard at further expense and sold, I think they probably scared themselves! There was another black one owned by Hubert who used to post on the titanic list, not seen or heard of him since Titanic went quiet.
