Still out there looking for a car.

I know it will be a long wait but I am looking for a rhd RS.

Strong money available for the right car.

Either email me at kasbridge@ptc.com or call me on 07767 384 237 if you hear of anything that may be for sale.

Thanks in advance,
Kevin.

So now you are very limited only about 70 Right hookers worldwide of which 47 UK cars minus 7 Tourings are you sure you want a RHD? Anyway if I here of one will call you. All the best.....[:)]

Des,
I know that I am severely limiting my options but given that I will spend as much time charging round North Wales as I do on a track I really need rhd.

Hopefully with around 30-40 cars in circulation, allowing for write offs etc. a couple should hit the market each year

Thanks for all your help thus far and pls let me know if anything comes up,
Cheers,
Kevin.

As somebody who has been in your position (and is responsible for reducing the stock of potential cars!!), may I offer a few words of advice. You are going to need to bide your time. Of the cars out there, half of them will be "tired". They might look OK, but the difference between one that looks good and one that is good underneath that bright exterior skin is huge. I drove a few cars before buying mine and my car felt totally different from the others. It was the difference between a blunt and sharp knife.

Don't get fooled by mileage. Even lowish mileage cars are now 15 years old which means that a lot of parts are tired. My car had a highish mileage, 54,000, but drove better than a 32,000 mile car I saw a month before. This is because the previous owner had spent £12,000 in 18 months, getting the mechanicals into good order. And there lies the lesson. It is a lot cheaper to make a tatty body and interior look first class than it is to rebuild all the mechanical stuff. make sure you get any car checked out by one of the good guys.

The only tip I can give you is to keep in close touch with Paul at GT Classics. He is most likely to find you a car and even if he doesn't, his knowledge and honesty is worth tapping into.

Bide your time. It will be frustrating. However, buy the right car and you will not want to part with it. I brought mine down to Oz with me and it still puts a smile on my face almost every day.

Simon,
Thanks for the advice.

I am currently on my second 964 C2, bone stock, near concours, and looked at 10 cars before I bought it so I know where you are coming from.

At least with my C2 I at least have something half decent to drive whilst I await the RS[;)]

Cheers,
Kevin.

sold, the wheels don't touch the ground, just to rub some salt in, a beautiful GPWHite Lightweight, I was touting RHD Only £42,000 20000 miles only six months back hung around for several months Gmund bought the car, it must now be easily £50,000.....There has been a big resurgance in RHD values, I put it down to Newbies entering safely the Leichtbau market, they are every bit a RS....mind the left hookers are still not far behind and forging ahead in Europe....[;)]

We have a white RHD 964RSL available that has just turned 40k miles and over the last week or so has had a major 12k service in our workshop, new discs & pads all round and a new flywheel/clutch assembly were added to the usual service list. Contact me at the office or email colin@ninemeister.com and I'll send you a brief specification and photos. Please ask relevant questions through email, can I ask that we keep the details off the forum, thanks.

I have a rhd car and it took a while to find it. Once you have it, you'll never look back. If you have any intention to run it on the road as well as track in the UK, then rhd is the way to go. Once up and running you'll never know that you have power steering in rhd car, otherwise the cars really are the same (I driven enough to know).

Also, if you're at all bothered about values a rhd is a safe bet, in fact I'd argue that there is nothing is better than a rhd 964 RS at the moment as an investment (perhaps a clubbie would run it close). Try to find one south on £50,000........

If you haven't already been in contact with Colin, give him a call, IMHO, he really is very good and knows the cars inside out.

Best of luck.

Damen, you are correct, I receive calls on a daily basis talking about these cars mostly buyers looking for their first 964RS we always go through the scenario, what you want it for Road/Track/Europe etc etc etc........inevitably the choice RHD especially for UK use and as a first RS makes the most sense.....prices have really moved ahead as with the ROW LHD RS but still maintianing their RHD premium in the UK ......Yes RHD 964RS very safe investment should never lose money....[:D]

I would say if you are looking at general 964RS investment then the Cup Cars, N-GT Clubsports, 3.8RS/RSR have no equal just look at the European/USA/Japan markets......
