Looking for a set of cheap early offset wheels

Has anyone got anything they want shot of?

I'm not particularly fussed about which style (ideally not Cookie Cutters though as I've got 11 of those!) - as long as they're the early offset which I think is an ETA of 23mm.

Aesthetic condition not too important but they do need to be round and crack free!

They're going to be specifically for track use with silly slicks. And gold, obviously.

15 or 16'' fine.

Thanks all,

Ben

Any good Ben?

Id go for the 'Dials. They make a series one car look very smart. 951 parts numbers, which is curious...

Thanks gents, hadn't seen either of those.

Re the first set on ebay, I'm struggling to make sense of the offsets. Anyone any ideas.

Will dm re the teledials. Thanks.

Far from clear, but they will fit. I had them saved as I was thinking about buying them if they were cheap enough (for my own series one car).

Don't know if you saw on your other thread but I've got full 944 side glass front and back for your charity car if you want it.

Simon and others,

What is the fattest tyre I could get on these teledial rims?

They'll be pure race wheels, only used on track.

Not quite an answer to your question, but Id probably not go over 205s. You can fit 225s on 7" rims but what you might gain with a few extra MMs of tread width, you lose when the sidewalls flex.

Id prefer a narrower tyre with a little stretch (an ignorantly demonised word), firming up the sidewall and working the tyre better. I have a similar set of wheels which I intend to fit either 195-50 or 205-50/45 list 1B tyres to use on my Turbo (these will fit a 1988 Turbo!). Sometimes less is more and this applies particularly to tyres.

Interesting point. I have a set of 205s (Vred Sportracs) on one set of 7'' Cookie Cutters. They're used for general driving and the odd bit of tarmac action.

I think I'll go for the same size but the Dunlop track rubber that I like.
