Looking for Non-A/C equipped heater control unit

Hi all,

I have a friend here in the USA that is looking for a heater control unit from a non-A/C equipped car. Does anyone here have one they would like to sell, or a lead on one? I purchased one from Graham earlier this year since I had deleted my A/C and I wanted to make my car correct with the A/C deletion. My friend saw mine and now wants one for himself. Any help you can give would be appreciated!

Happy Holidays!

Was it a straight swap? I sent my a/c one to a 968 owner who has aftermarket air-con, but he said his car went full hot so he sent mine back rather than the non-a/c one from his car so I was wondering if they are not interchangeable after all.

Hi Fen,

How are things?

Yes, for me it was a straight swap. I bought a non-A/C control unit from Graham's 968CS and it plugged right in, worked just fine. As a matter of fact, the A/C control unit I had in the car sometimes caused the system to run at full heat, even though the plastic clip on the flapper was not broken and the Heater Control Valve in the engine bay worked perfectly. When I installed the 968CS unit those problems ceased to exist. So it seems to me there was something internally wrong on the A/C-equipped control unit I had in there. Maybe the same thing is wrong with yours that you sent to your friend?

Cheers,

T.
