Looking for previous owner of 997.2 C2 - RV11 WOH

Hi everyone,

I've just put a deposit down on a Guards Red 997.2 C2 at OPC Swindon and the salesman told me the previous owner was a member. Due to data protection laws the OPC wont give details of the previous owner so I'm taking a punt that they may see this post. I've not seen the car in the flesh yet as I'm in Manchester so its a bit of a long round trip just to view a car so I'd like to pick the previous owners brains to see if they have any info that might be useful before I collect it in a couple of weeks. Here is the car in question.

Thanks in advance.

Ask the club to email the owner with your details. You may get a call.

Or or ask to see the service book and v5 as scanned copies. You may get his name and address that way.

Looks nice!

Thanks for the replies. I'll contact the club but I've also decided to drive down next week and view/drive the car so I'll get the opportunity to view everything then. I've been away from a 911 for over 10 years after getting burned with a 993 C4S purchase from an OPC which left a really bitter taste and since then I assume everything a used car salesman tells me whether it be Arthur Daley down the side street or an OPC is BS. This car was a "Press Car" for the first 6 months of its life which had alarm bells ringing and then the previous owner purchased it and by all accounts cherished it. If this is the case then I'm less stressed about it being used as press car because any issues would have almost certainly surfaced in the subsequent 6 years.

Hi Paul
the car in question was ours, and as confirmed by Swindon was very much loved until we p/x'd it for a 991 4S.
we bought the car at 4k miles and as a retired development manager for a major motor manufacturer the car was over maintained (yearly service) and kept in a heated garage.
No track use.
Swindon have always maintained the car so have full details of all service history.
only problem in 6 years was a sticky clutch starter isolator switch which was changed.
If you give me a ring I am happy to talk through the car and its history.

WOW! Thanks for the reply, I'll call you later if that's OK. Went to see the car today and its credit to its previous owners. How it didn't get bought sooner is a mystery.
