Not sure if anyone can help but my son is looking to get into Porsche ownership and is on the lookout for a Cayman S he has about £20K to spend if anyone knows of a good low mileage car with a decent spec. I guess he is looking at a Gen 1 about an 07.

Geoff

Sorry, but he can't have mine, worth far more to me than 20k! Biggest problem for me is that to replace it with the latest version would cost 30k extra, just ain't worth it. If he can find one, as we all know, he'll enjoy it! Good luck with the search. D

I would think there must be a fair few for that Geoff- I sold my 06 gen 1 3 years ago for £23k with 18 k miles on the clock . I agree I am sure he will have fun ! My 25 yr old is looking forward to my boxster when I get the 991 in 6 months[:)]

I agree with the others Geoff. Sorry can't help, but there are some really good cars out there which are probably difficult to shift at this time of the year, so good luck with the search. It's a great driver's car, so your son will enjoy ownership. Jeff

Hi Geoff I maybe able to help but mine is a bit more than £20K closer to £25K and its a low mileage vision with excellent Full Main Dealership history with a full set of tryes put on in 2012 when it was last serviced at Porsche Colchester. Its is a very high spec car but its also rare as for the year its White with Red Bits as you can see by the picture. If you E-mail me I would be happy to send further pictures & full details of Spec but its also a Triptronic over a Manual which your son maybe looking for. But as I have said I'm looking for £25k over the £20k your son is looking to spend & if it helps in anyway I leave in Colchester Essex & the car is garaged at all times & it even has the Porsche Roof Rack system with the car as I have just been in the Peak District for a week with my Porsche FS bike on the car too. So if your intrested please drop me an E-mail to smart707@hotmail.co.uk or cayman34@icloud.com The reason for putting the Cayman up for sale I'm intrested in the New Porsche Macan due out May 2014. Yours sincerely Kevin.[:)]

As others have said, mine's not for sale and is worth far more than £20K or book value whatever that is to me, the Cayman S Gen 1 is a lot of car for the money![;)] No wonder I'm finding people joining the register from GT3's and turbos.

Paz, When I saw you at Donington you were wanting a 2007 brochure, I now have one available, do you still want it?

I've got an 07 Cayman with low miles and a nice spec (just about every option was ticked)! Been lucky enough to have it from 12000 miles, its also mint condition. Downside is I'd be reluctant to sell it, just like most people on here!! But if my arm was twisted maybe...

... and the asking price is ? (Not that I am looking, just teasing)

I just traded my 07 Cayman S into Reading and they've now got it up for sale. Its grey with 48k miles. It was under Porsche warranty the whole time I had it and has full main dealer service history. I replaced all brake pads and discs just under a year ago too. It was a great car and is in great condition for its age.

Hi Just like to add that's its worth spending that bit extra if you can to get a really genuine car than stick to your 20K and get a second rate car that will cost you more in the long run. If you can get to a gen 2 the road tax is much less by the way. Probably be well out of budget though.

Hi All My son has bought a car unfortunately it is not a Cayman as he decided it should be a Gen 2 car even if he needed to spend a bit more, we looked at several but none were immaculate and like me my son is fussy during the search he saw a Exige S which looked the "dogs" and he has bought it I'm sure it will drive well and be great on track days and we will also find out what LOTUS stands for in due course, thanks for everyones comments. I may well have trouble keeping him behind me !! Geoff
