Hi guys,

Im looking to buy a 911 SC. i want to spend around 7k, with under 100k miles and spend the change (up to 10k) to get the car up to standard! could anyone give any contacts that might be useful to me? is there anything i should look out for when looking at a car? i went to see one this weekend and i noticed it had a very lumpy idle, and the rubber seals were starting to break down, is this normal? how much do you think i will need to put into the money pot in running costs each year?

a lot of questions, i know but any help would be greatly appreciated!

im in the surrey area by the way

Hi Jamie

I have a 911 SC Targa Sport for sale. It's black and black leather with 124k on the clock.

Have had it 12 months and done about 2.5K and am moving on to Ferrari 308 hence sale.

I am looking for £9,500 for the car. It's got lots of service history and had a new top end engine rebuild a few years back - so is sound.

I think you should allow £200 pa for insurance and running costs a budget of £500 - £1,000 as this car is in very good condition.

I am based in Charing, Kent.

Best regards

Hi Jamie

I would tend to agree with Steve. Buy one that has been sorted out and well loved. Get the benefit of someone else's expenditure. My much loved SC is also for sale - it cost £10.5k and I have spend nearly the same again in the last 4 years.

And yes the seals tend to go eventually, more so on cars that have not been garaged.

If you get one that has been sorted out it will cost you around £500 per year. However it must have been sorted out very thoroughly or the bills can be significantly higher.

Good luck
Jerry
