Looks like our 1990 Cup car is Manthey's championship winner

Of course I am referring to mine and Marc's viper green 1990 Cup car, chassis 9007, which was confirmed today by Porsche as the only one of the first 50 cars made to have been colour changed by Porsche Motorsport to green from the original build colour of white, and since Manthey won the championship that year driving a full viper green car (i.e. inside and out, not just outer panels) we are pretty much certain that it is his car. Nice one.

Nice little touch Colin, and the car has proper wheels as well, Des will be upset [:D]

Colin, you may be the man to ask, have you seen anyone that does 993 GT2 bodykits on your travels ?

Nice one 9M,,,but why are you telling us....I woud be straight on the blower to Mr Manthey to see if he wants to buy the championship winning car back, emphasising the fact the price is in £ not Euro [;)]

Funny you should ask, we acquired the last set of arches that Porsche had in stock and had them reproduced for a customer who was worried about a future lack of availability since Porsche told him they were no longer being made. Hence, if you need a set of the arches, we can supply them and they are almost indistinguishable from the factory part. Obviously the front spoiler is the same as a 993RS CS so no issues there either o.e. or copy, same with the GT2 rear wing.

Once it has been repainted I would consider a straight exchange for a viper green 997GT3RS.... and I would not object to LHD. [:D]

TISPKJ your knowledge of the "Leichtbau" is obviously limited. The correct wheels for an early Cup/Trophy were as Melvin's car 17" Cup 1 Wheels, the later generation 92 Cup Cars where on 18" Speedline....[:D]

I am pleased with your interest of this the finest evolution of the 911....you may just be able to switch before prices zoom further ahead...[;)]

Nice one Colin -I knew it....[;)]

Got a nice lickle boxed 1:43 model of it signed by the moustachioed one himself -what could that be worth now????[:D]

Thanks Colin, just a few ideas going through my head ................. you know what its like [;)]

There was another green car in the '92 Carrera Cup sponsored by 'Standox'.

Also a number of green cars in 'the '94 Carrera Cup Germany, 'Car Royal', 'Trussardi Jeans', 'GoRaice' and the sister car to mine run by Kadach Tuning -seems a popular color that year!!

'Flymo' also sponsored a green car at Le Mans......

And my car was partly green a coupla times in it's history!!!
