Just been cleaning the front air slots on recent purchase S2 Cab & noticed the Air Filter
was not located on the connecting tube - in fact it was loose!! - see attached pics.
Took the "front end panel" off to get a better look & discovered what looks like a bodge job
for fixing bracket(s). + the 2-1/2" bore plastic connecting tube has "Building Products"
marked on it ! (dont recon Porsche would use these suppliers)
Can anybody help with this :-
I believe this filter is not a standard one - its got no markings on it, is it a K&N type ?
What is the normal supporting bracket arrangement ? The present set up has a rubber mounted
(plated) bracket with a rusty length of 3/4" plate fastened to it. I have no idea how it is
supposed to hold the filter in place - any suggestions/photos greatly appreciated. Otherwise
i'll be getting some stainless sheet/plate & do a better bodge job.
