I got stuck in traffic for 60 mins this morning due to M40 lane closures, where it was very stop / start. The temperature did get a little higher than normal (edging towards 90 degrees), but then settled back down once I was on the move again.
Anyway, shortly after getting through the traffic jam, the coolant level warning light started to flash. I had managed to lose 1.5 litres of coolant, but it is not obvious where this has leaked from. The level was fine yesterday when I did the usual checks.
Could sitting in the stationary traffic for so long be a contributory factor to this issue.
Any suggestions most welcome.
