Loss of power under hard acceleration

My new (to me) 997.1 Turbo is throwing engine management warnings and faltering when under hard acceleration, though seems fine the rest of the time. Any ideas as to possible causes please? It did it once on the first journey but the engine management light went out afterwards but it is on all the time now.

Ultimately, this is going to be referred back to the dealer I have just bought it from, plus I have an OBD2 code reader on order so will be able to diagnose it better next week.

Hi. Had similar problem my 997. Some electric component that altered turbo boost or vanes turbo act rods .Sorted under warranty . Had same issues 991 turbo. This has proved to be trick engine mounts failing 3 out of 4 on two cars. More common when driving in enthusiastic way.

I had a similar issue with my 997.2 turbo in December. The problem was diagnosed as a loose hose connection on the air intake, which opened up during hard acceleration, with a resultant loss in boost pressure. Best of luck with the fix.

The code reader says P0303 Cylinder 3 misfire detected, so possibly a coil pack or plug. The dealer is collecting it for repair tomorrow.

I took it for a run yesterday and the misfire developed into no firing on that cylinder at all.
