Hi everyone. I have a quick question and hope someone can help me. The clock on the instrument binnacle seems to have lost its back lighting, ie i can't now read it unless i shine a torch at it.....not very useful..........

Can anyone tell me if this is an eay fix?

Must admit I haven't done this on either the Boxster or Cayman but do you have a 986 or 987 ?
 
sorry meant to say its a 97 968 and it is impossible to read either clock or the oil level gauge, however the like i say if you look carefully and shine a torch into it you can see the numbers/display.

Are these displays backlit in some way? or am i resigned to buying a whole new unit?
 
Yes you can replace the bulbs. You need to remove the instrument binnacle to do it though
