Lovely Snow

Woke up this morning, opened the blinds and what do I see but this.

Decided to clean off the car and then went round to the local hardware shop with Hannah, my daughter, to buy a sledge. The main roads were pretty clear but the car park was covered... and empty - Wohoo []

Cue some doughnuts with lots of dads and kids watching. Excellent [8D]

Then we drove down to some nearby banks and did some sledging

Back home now, cold and wet and ready for my Sunday lunch

We had a slight flurry but nothing compared to that - car park sounds great fun

We had about the same or perhaps a little more, it started around 2 am to lay then stopped then got up 9am and loads of the stuff and still alot left .

Good for the kids, afew snowmen have been built around the streets.

I heard it was snowing all day in Bristol yesterday. Don't know for sure because I worked from home (my office is in Bristol though).

Tony, should have a smattering of the white stuff today, we have in Southampton.

We have snow on the west coast, albeit a thin layer - we weren't supposed to get any though and it was 7 degrees yesterday. Ice under a light covering of snow - perfect for lots of minor bumps from unsuspecting sleepy eyed drivers in the morning.

Bring on the real snow (like NorthernBloke got) at least that is more predictable for fun

Been snowing here, on and off, since Saturday night. It's now icy with a light covering of snow and I have to take the car in for service - should be interesting

Heavy frost and a light fall (could see through it) around 8.00 all melted now, probably some oop North in Basingstoke / Four Marks can any one confirm / know of big car parks in the area?

M25 clear except for the many cars on the hard shoulder. Oddly, all in pairs.

Never ever trust the weather reports, yet again were npot supposed to get any snow in the West coast, but it is all white outside again - doesn't look like stopping this time, so at least it might be proper fun snow []

You just need to watch all the reports - nah, scratch that, just watch/listen to the reports on all the BBC TV and radio channels, they'll all be different and one of them will be right for your area because there are more channels than types of weather [8|]
