Hi, I wonder if anyone has come across this issue or a fix for this…

Have owned the car for under a year, purchase approved used from Silverstone & is under warranty. I love driving it & am always careful with warm up/cool down. Always run on premium fuel.

The car is only developing 14psi boost at 6500rpm, also there is no idle boost build in sport/sport+. Previously 19psi held to the red line & 1psi idle boost in sport/sport+.

It still runs ok with no error messages, just feels like it is about 100hp down. Took me a month to get it in for investigation, the OPC have had it 2 weeks now & are none the wiser on the cause. They say no boost leaks, no vacuum leaks, wastegate actuators test ok & no error messages in PIWIS from the COVs. It’s had 1 turbo replaced in the past & a COV last summer.

Any ideas anyone? Other turbo?

Hi Howard,

Sorry to hear about your problem, and it sounds as though Silverstone have covered all the usual bases concerning typical causes for the lack of boost, assuming that they’ve recognised that definitely there is a problem. If they’ve had the car for 2-weeks without a resolution you’d have to assume that the situation is also being monitored by the factory, but it would be worth asking the question because - being under warranty - Stuttgart will be sanctioning any rectification work, including a turbo replacement if necessary.

Hi Jeff

thanks very very much for that, I hadn’t thought of raising it to Stuttgart. Have just buzzed off an email to politely ask if the issue has been escalated. We shall see.

Well, the issue has now got to Stuttgart via Porsche Uk. Silverstone have formally recognised that there is a low boost issue.
Now waiting for a response & remedy.
