Just a quick heads up on what looks like an interesting new product

Hopefully you don't have to be a member to read the above, but if you do it's a new chassis brace that looks like its going to be a cheaper alternative to the gorgeous Brey Krause design. Price is to be confirmed, I'll see if I can find out the shipping costs once it's finalised and post the outcome here.

Best regards,
Peter

You need to register to view but the registration only takes a few minutes. It looks like a neat solution but I would be very nervous about loading up the castor mounts via the bolt, espeically if you were to preload the brace. However I could imagine if you had something similar that had flat brackets at the rod ends that were sandwiched between the chassis and the castor mounts it would be a stronger location - and would eliminate any movement due to the spherical bearings. Unfortunately it would be more tricky to manufacture and it would screw up your castor settings.

It doesn't look like it will work on a Turbo though.

I was going to say can someone hurry up an fit a BK bottom brace so we can hear how good it is. But then again, if it is really good, I'm going to want one and I don't want to want one.

Sounds like the guy in the original post has a pretty extreme slope on his drive.

The lower strut brace was standard equipment on the cars of 1990 Turbo Cup trophy in France.
A German company offer a similar package used with uniball wishbones.

VERY informative site.
Its just a pity that the translation from German to English doent include the latest mods.....

It is a shame it isn't split into chapters on different pages as it takes an age to load even with broadband. A great site though and a very nice car.

Wow, what a project. That is the way to do it. I liked the short shift kit and the castor mounted brace and the matt black cup 1's. The strut tower and castor braces looked like off the shelf aftermarket products. I wonder where they got them from.
