Lowered Supension

p27549

New member
I am looking at lowering the suspension on my C2 Cab. I have read that H+R springs tend to lower the car a bit too much for street driving. Can anyone recommend springs that would be suitable for lowering and ride. Does Porsche do a lowering spring for the 993 that does not lower it the 30mm that most after market springs give.

Thanks

TIM

Mine is also on the same set up of Bilsteins and H and R springs. The problem I had was the 18inch wheels touching the outside edge of the wheelarches when going over bumps. But Ninemeister has now rolled the wheelarch edges and problem completely solved. Might be worth talking to them first though as they said they tended to recommend a different set up ,

That is interesting as i also have 18" wheels fitted. Will have to do some investigation first. Thanks for the response

When your 18" wheels have the proper size and offset, there should be no problem, even when the car is below RS height.

I have Billy HD and H&R and 18s and they do not touch at all, but bump-steer is chronic - can not drive in slow lane of M6 at all because of the tracks in the road from the constant lorries. I have to drive in the fast lane all the time which means going fast, unfortunately.

i got a 1997 c2 coupe on 17`s which at some point i was going for an upgrade,
would these shocks & springs you have on your red one be ok for mine ?
if so do you have part nos of all needed & where from, best place to buy from ?
& what sort of cost is it all ?

cheers dave
