lowering my 1965 911

I have just bought a nice old 911 that had been used as a rally car for a number of years; I'm now looking to lower the car as it currently sits too high, any help suggestions would be welcomed

The front ride height can be adjusted very easily using the adjusters at the rear of each torsion bar. The rear ride height is a bit more complicated and achieved by removing the rear spring plate and turning it on the torsion bar. Each spline on the outside is 8 degrees, which is a major change, so you need to pull the torsion bar out and rotate that one spine in the opposite direction. From memory there are 45 splines on the outer end and 44 on the inner, so one up on the outside and one down on the inside equates to .9 of a degree. It's quite a process, especially if the splines are seized, which they usually are. You will need to reset the toe in and camber afterwards.
