Lowering my 911

Hi guys. I'm trying to find somewhere that sells lowered springs for my 1981 911SC. I'm mainly interested in the cosmetic improvement of lowering the front a little. Any suggestions?

Hi Jay

Pre 89 911's don't actually have springs as such, they use torsion bars instead. These are adjustable for ride height, fairly easily on the front but considerably more involved for the rear.

It's a job that needs someone who knows what they're doing with 911's and your car will also need to have a four wheel alignment after it's been lowered.

Thanks. I've just been informed of this on another forum. I feel rather stupid now!
Does anyone know of anywhere in the Dartford Kent area that can do this kind of suspension alignment to anything other than factory settings?

If you are only interested in lowering the front it is an easy DIY job. Speak to Jez Parsons at Carrera Performance in Horsham. 01403 891911.
