Lowering springs

[FONT=Tahoma"]Anyone used the 30mm lowering spring kits offered by the likes of Porscheshop?
Just want to be re-assured that the average sleeping policeman isn't going to rip my front lip spoiler off before I dabble!!

hi i had my 964 lowered this year at ninemeister {-30mm} advised to fit progressive springs that dont give a harsh ride but will stiffen up under cornering so would suggest h+r eibach or cargraphic . the car looks less like a 4+4 now but would need to go -50mm lower for full race car look, ive tried many speed bumps with no problems ,car still rolls on track but cheaper than buying full suspension kit at £1500

Have gone with Eibach springs lowering the car by 30mm then took the car for a geometry set up at Porsche in Reading (closest to my home). Will upgrade the shocks on the front later in the year but for now all I can say is WOW! Got the car back on Friday evening and it frightened me, like driving a new machine with a great response and a planted feel it never had before... discovered the chap I bought the car from had wound the sus down on the original springs making the car veerryy stiff. Now it feels great []
