Hi, looking to convert cayenne to lpg, ideally with tank in spare wheel but would also look at tank behind back seat. Can anyone recommend a specialist that is based around East London and any ideas on cost? Thank you

Thanks for looking but clearly it seems there are few lpg conversion places that can be recommended in East London. So any recommendations for Essex or London in general please? Thanks

I've had my 4.5s converted and has so far been really good. Before I bought though I checked out whether a V6 could be converted and was told that this wasn;t possible - This may have changed now. The firm I used in Essex (Southend direction) was GASTECH.

Thanks David, let me look them up and get some advice, will post here if i get anything useful.

Hi,

You could try these people http://www.essexlpg.net/ I have no knowledge of their ability etc just given as a contact.

You might even have to spread your wings further than Essex. Unlike conversions on old Rover V8's, and the like, the engine management of modern cars is so integrated with the alarm system that you will need a specialist with the equipment to talk to the Cayenne's computer to stop it shutting itself down completely.

I believe Cayenne engines are specific to the Cayenne (unlike the shared and re badged powerplants of many manufactures) so you will need someone who can remap the ECU to best accommodate the change in characteristics of LPG over Petrol.

Thanks for all your replies, still looking into it, gastech in southend have done some 4.5's, but not 3.2. Will keep you posted.
