LPG in a 944

I'm enjoying driving around in my Cab ( when it's not raining) and I was wondering if to get a nice coupe S2 or turbo and LPGing it and run it as a general everyday car.

I think if you do 12000 a year your could save about £900a year (working on 25 mpg on petrol and 22mpg on LPG). So in a couple of years it paid for itself

Anybody done it?

Although a £900 per year saving would probably not even pay for the running costs of the extra car...

I reckon it would be cheaper just running the Cab everyday if saving money is your sole aim.

Saving money isn't my only aim , I want to park up my cab in the garage for the winter so I need a second car.

There was a chap on the 944 forums who was converting his S2 coupe to run on LPG - I think the project was due to complete this summer, sometime.

Can't remember who tho'.

He may well pop up here. Or you could try posting to the Titanic eMail forum, as I think he posted details on there a while back.

Oli.
