LSD spare clutches for an RS??

Guest

New member
Anyone out there got access to replacement clutches for an RS LSD. Mine is in bits and I can't get the spares.........

Steady Chaps!!! People will start to think I'am a Hooligan[:D][:D]
In the 6 years i've had the RS, it needed a set of LSD clutch plates when I first got it and they lasted another 5 years or so.
Colin @ 9m replaced them 18 months ago and no further problems.
Apparently they are a "Weak" part of the set up and Colin assured me it couldn't be caused by my driving style[:D][:D]

Promise only joking, dont want to tempt fate but just had first set on GT2 ..........rs/rsr still fine ...............i hope ,might find out at Oulton !! hOPE TO c u there

Vic, look forward to seeing everyone also, just hope the weathers better.
I was at Oulton yesterday, just watching, track conditions, damp, 3 degrees, interesting!!

[:)]Thanks gents for the help. I will get onto 9M tomorrow.
I do assure you that chain drive would be more problematic and considerably dirtier to maintain! I am lucky enough to have a 1932 Frazer Nash TT rep, now that is sideways motoring
Seeing that some of you are off to track days, I did a VSCC event on Saturday -the POM- in my 997s. Very slippery indeed, but discovered much more predictable behavior and faster laptimes with the PSM turned off...PSM.....anathema to all you RS boys....
Will report back as the diff issue develops.

Goodwood yesterday , MEL was there, no kidding blue sky and sun................unfortunately clubsport caught a cough , no i did nt buzz it , but still waiting for parts from GKN for GT2 , 550bhp and no LSD at Oulton will definitely check weather before coming ...............................................

U laugh as much as u like Mo , just dont tell AON or the Bank Mangager .............or worst of all Mrs C! mAY BECOME VERY WHIMPISH ON THIS ONE ,saving up the fone call to see if bits due today have come in !
