Wonder if some of you experts out there can help. Just taken delivery of my Aug 1989 Supersport Cab. On reading all the paperwork/correspondance there are various letters between Lancaster Porsche and a previous owner which confirms a Limited Slip Differential is fitted. However on deciphering the Option codes the LSD was not amongst them. Was this standard on the Supersport. Car is full uk spec and supplied new by AFN back then

I don't think it was a standard fitment. To see if you've got LSD jack the car up at the back until both wheels are off the ground. Turn one road wheel by hand. If the other wheel turns the same way you've got LSD, if the other wheel turns in the opposite direction then no LSD.

Thanks. I will try that. Dont think it was fitted aftermarket as car has only done 25k and has been kept totally original by previous owners right down to the Blaupunkt radio/cassette ! This leads me to believe either it was a standard fitment on Supersport or it does not have LSD. All info on Option 491 which is the Supersport says brakes , suspension and body of Turbo and nothing else. On my old mid eighties 944s it was an extra option if required.
Cheers
