Disappointed they didnt contact a RO or the club to help promote it. I was going to be asking this question later on, too

Yes, it was generally wet, but the rain eased off at times and there were even some dry periods, but nothing could detract from the wealth of iconic Porsches spread all over the Bicester Heritage site, cleverly positioned so as to allow plenty of room around them for viewing and photography - and in fact the weather was probably more suitable for photographs than bright sunshine would have been (every cloud, etc.). Walking round the site, there were cars lurking round every corner, positioned to take advantage of the hangers and other buildings associated with an old airfield to create interesting backdrops and a more exciting display than the usual row upon row of Porsches parked in regimented fashion.
Everyone I spoke to enjoyed to event and there wasn't any suggestion that the weather spoiled things, such was the quality of what was on show - and for which thanks must be given to those who braved the conditions to get their air-cooled car to Bicester. Talking of which, I must confess that I chose to travel in my Boxster rather than my Carrera 3.2, the appeal of air-con keeping interior misting at bay winning over the alternative of a prehistoric ventilation system and open windows and as a result, I'm hanging my head in shame and keeping my fingers crossed that the weather is better next year tempting me to travel to the event 'luftgekuhlt'.
If any of the organisers are reading this, please tell us there will be a next year...
