Luggage lid struts

[:-] I hope this expression simulates effect of knock on head. Several times! I know low temperatures reduce the effectiveness of gas struts but my 993 is now being silly. Time for strut renewal I think. I have no idea how the lower part of each strut is connected to the body. It seems inaccessible on both sides. Doubtless there is a magic solution. Please share it with me. In anticipation,
