Luggage that fits on the fold down seats - 997.2

Anyone got any recommendations for luggage that will fit nicely on the fold down part of the rear seats (thus leaving the front boot for cases of wine)?

Best bet would be soft holdall bags capable of being strapped down using ratchet straps.

It's not advisable to carry hard luggage cases within the cabin.

Clive

Ratchet straps? I use the seat belts to hold things in place, but ratchet straps is a new one. Where do you anchor them?

yes, with you on soft luggage, I just wanted specific brands/types that people have used before I start searching.

No need for anchors. Simply wrap them completely around each seat backrest when in the lowered position and fasten them on top of each bag. You can buy the straps online, motor factors or in one of the high street motorist retail shops.

If you want a branded bag, I have a Porsche holdall but it's large, so mostly I use a couple of smaller bags with side and end pockets that were on special offer from my local filling station! [;)] [:)]

What a brilliant idea, learned something new today. Many thanks!

Interesting idea! I have dozens of ratchet straps, but so far I've found the seat belts work fine.

Answering your own question - often the best solution. ??
I was pleased to help. [sm=kiss.gif]

The seats themselves are great for putting coats or shoes in carrier bags etc before you put the backs down. Owing to the seat shape, I've never experienced anything slide away. Perhaps you could wrap some additional wine bottles and place them there.
Lancerlot, is there a branded bag up for grabs? If so I may be interested. Thanks.

We’ll, I didn’t actually ask about how to strap bags down, but thanks anyway.

et us know how you get on, thinking about getting them my self. Done a few road trip now and always load the car well and never used ratchet staps:ROFLMAO: but you are always looking for things" did i put it behind your seat my seat at the back at the top" where they look really neat and a good fit and your seat back goes right back to nearly there so no need for extra securing.

Not going well so far. I've called roadster bags - they are either closed, or busy and the line cuts off, and emailed, but the web form crashes.
