Anyone fancy a day out in N.Yorks on Sun Jan 2nd??

Following recent success this could burn off some turkey from the drivers and cobwebs from all of you who have put your babys to bed for the Winter!![;)]

We could meet at The Bridge Inn and work our way around to Hawes/Settle?? Recommendations for a pub for luinch welcomed.

Any thoughts???

Rita and I would be interested but we may have to collect the new car from JCT on that day - they are closed on the 1st January!

So far waiting for the retention certificate from DVLA before it can be taxed - hope it arrives next week.

I am interested in a day out--with the proviso of all of the usual--no excessive salt--driving rain or snow. There is a very good pub just west of Settle--name escapes me at the moment but on the old A65 that does excellent lunches, etc.

I noticed that they hace rerouted the A1 to use the new section so maybe the Bridge is a bit daft as a meet. What about the hotel just off the A1 in wetherby centre - can't remember the name though.

if the weather is good & I get my clutch adjusted I might have a run out to say hello. Unfortunatly I won't be able to come on the drive as I have family coming round for lunch.

What time is everyone meeting up?

Is anyone going for a run out and lunch?

The weather prospects for tomorrow are not good in the west or over the Pennines so after we collect the new car I think we will head back towards the sunny east coast.

Happy new year to R7 members

John,

I agree about the weather. The run out looks a no no for tomorrow. It was a nice try. Lets have a word at the next meeting and we'll take it from there - we'll have a look at the new baby as well!!!

See you all soon
