M030 ARB Group Buy

Davyboy - I know you managed to find some in the UK but the majority of the time they are non-existant.

If you want to tell everyone where they are available then I'm sure we'd all gladly do a group buy in the UK.

Saving the money is not the issue...which I'm sure you know having been party to the 968uk thread in the past...it's finding the damn things.

Cheers

Thanks for posting Jason, I hope you get enough takers to make it viable.

I really wanted to be in on the next buy of these but I have just finshed off my track tyres and need a new set so the piggy bank says no [:(]

No problem Paul - got to get your priorities as you say - no point having the ARBs if you cannot get it on the track as you've no tyres!

Hope to see you on a track soon[;)]

I used the old fashion method of walking into the OPC, handing over £315 and they handed back a set front and reat M030 968 ARBs with all bushes. Finding the OPCs is not that difficult, i think they are listed on the Porsche web site.

I was not having a go - I did not realise they were hard to get hold of.

Just as above, I simply called my local OPC (Silverstone) and ordered them, 2 days later they were ready to collect.

Maybe I was lucky.

Hey maybe we both were lucky, but mine took 3 days so not happy about that and going to complain to the OPC about the standard of service. Thats 50% more time that yours took. Quite disgraceful....

Slim got his from Adrian at Exeter OPC who I (and others, I think including both the acting 944 RS and the deputy RS) recommend as the best place to go for genuine parts.

I have spoken to him about them a few months ago and he didn't mention any availability problem. Personally I'm going to have a chat with Allan at Weltmeister on the RR day to see what he has and how much before I decide but if I do choose to go the 968 M030 route it was my intention to talk to Adrian. Maybe he can do a group discount if he can get stock?

Think I'll be calling Adrian at Exeter OPC then....had no luck anywhere else - maybe there is a secrect stash somewhere[;)]

If anyone comes across any please feel free to shout.

3 days is better than 6-8 weeks if they are out there!

I ordered the front bar a couple of weeks ago at the OPC nearest to me and they said there wasn't any left at the factory for the moment. They assured me it will be available back again "in the next future" (they have kept my order ...)

I spoke to Adrian today. Rears are no problem but fronts are showing no stock in the UK or Germany.
