m030 suspension pack

The right OPC will cut a good deal with 10% discount I have a set on order it's now been 6 weeks as they are on back order they have kept me up to date and informed me 2 weeks ago they were waiting for 1 part to complete the set.

It's been so long since I put the kit on order I can't remember the exact figure and would have to look it up but all in including the discount it is around £550, which for the kit is a great deal.

My M030 kit has recently been installed by Chris Franklin at CG (on my C4) and I must say the transformation is pretty amazing.

It darts into the corners and is definitely more sharp and much less roll from uprated ARB (Chris said they look very similar to GT3 spec ARB), but I have noticed more vibration particularly on poor road surfaces and it does ride a fair bit lower now it has settled.

I got mine from OPC but worth checking part numbers at collection as it is easy to have wrong kit delivered.

Do you have the part numbers I know Richard had posted this before, but I couldn't go back far enough to find the post. It would be useful for me to make sure i have the correctarts when I finally take delivery.

If you don't mind me asking how much did CG charge to fit this? When did you also get your kit from OPC as I am surprised its taking so long to get the kit as its on back order.

Thanks Phil

All,

I don't have the part numbers to hand but am certain it is worth a double check with OPC when you collect it just in case.

I bought mine approx 12 months ago and they had a few sets left in UK so ordering didn't involve a delivery from Germany.

Chris quoted me 6-8 hours for the M030 kit installation (approx £450 + vat), plus a full geo which is necessary as removing the hub/lower arms basically requires a geo reset.

I would warn you that lower arms will almost certainly need replacing/refurbishing if suspension hasn't been looked at for several years or since new in my case (just worth factoring it in so you don't get a nasty surprise).

Thanks,

Steve

Thanks Steve, I think I had the lower arms replaced a couple of years back they started creaking quiet badly, they cost around £250 each? so I guess you are referring to the same thing.

Sounds like the right sort of price. BTW if you go to CG he will probably suggest getting TRW ones which are the same but have had the porsche emblem disced off.
