M033 - fits all carreras?

No M033 is not standard but an option. Basically lowered springs plus standard shocks. Looking at this item you have to assume the shocks are knackered as they don't last long and the springs won't be any better fresher than yours.

Not worth it IMHO no matter what the price because of fitting and alignment cost.

Ian.

Thanks Ian - I've worded my original posting badly.... I should have said something like 'If M033 is fitted to a 993, would it be the same spec across the carrera range' i.e. M033 in a C2 would be the same as M033 on a C4S.

But you answered my main question too - that at 45k miles it would be pretty shot already..... I suspected as much.

Oh well - thought I had a cheap way out of my current handling woes there......

I thought the C4S had suspension and brakes from the TT?? clearly different than the C2 fitment.

Ian has the right idea, no point fitting 2nd hand....

Kenny,
I've just changed the suspension on my 4s this weekend, Bilstein HD's M030 springs & roll bars with a full set up ie corner weighting, toe, caster, camber, kine' toe. If you're thinking of going down this route I'll be more than happy to pass on some info', contacts, test drive.
btw I'll be in Leeds tomorrow

Thanks Maurice, and yes I think a good idea? I've got my head around springs and shocks I think but ride hight, roll bars, bushes etc still confuse me, maybe I'm not alone.

Kevin - that's great thanks very much, I'm stuck in the office all day today but maybe we could catch up and some point over the next 2 or 3 weeks?

With respect to ride heights, my last 2 RS have been set at lower than standard settings.....I have recently seen a few RS that have appeared high to the eye, after chatting with the owners they seem very happy with the ride and nuetral handling characteristics of the set up.

ORIGINAL: kbooker

Bilstein HD's M030 springs & roll bars with a full set up

exactly what I have.... Billy's are good, although extra £ gets better gear.... preferred the M030 over the M033 as lowering isn't always the best solution for a normal car.......

as Ian said, get 'em new you won't regret, but anti-roll bars + a fast road set up (at least) are a must as the entire combo works better.... as I regretted not fitting the M030 anti-roll bars and it did actually make a difference............on track days

if I was to do it again, I would have gone down the adjustable H&R route.... although the KW's look very nice !
