Macan 2.0 "The overlooked version"

Many people seem to dismiss the 2.0 Macan as an underpowered base model not really for the UK.
However when we came to replace our Cayenne D, I was put off by the long delivery times for V6 Macans, and the poor value of second hand ones with specs not to my liking.
When our local OPC suggested he could get a 2.0 Macan within a couple of months- we ordered one.
Now it has been delivered we are delighted. The performance is perfectly adequate for us (faster acceleration than Cayenne D) and superb road holding, helped no doubt by the lighter weight.
The brakes are a bit 'grabby'- hopefully this will improve in time, and I find the steering a bit light and lacking in feedback for my taste. Otherwise the car has far exceeded our expectations.
I suspect that now the dealers are getting 2.0 demos and a few road tests appear, the 2.0 will establish a useful slot in the range. Just hope it does not get too popular!

Since Porsche do not make diesel engines they could do it now as they get their diesel engines from Audi.

Your confidence is much appreciated! I am going to place my order tomorrow but am delaying the decision on whether to go for the 2.0 or the Diesel until I have tried out the 2.0 at Porsche Experience. Does anyone else have any views?
