Just bought a Dec 2016 Macan, the Sat Nav is driving me crazy. You can type in a 7 character post code but the search does nothing .... until you remove the last 2 letters then it takes you to the centre of the postcode area .... not very helpful.....

Not sure why tgat is happening Karen, I have a 2018 Macan an it accepts and navigates to seven digit postcodes without problem.

That's how it works on 2016. I had one, drove me nuts on the few occasions I used it. Different interface/system to the 61 Boxster I used to have and the 59 997 I have now. I relied on a TomTom since that has lifetime map updates so it kept pace with road changes. A 2016 is likely to have a map one or two years than the car and upgrades are far too expensive.

Surprised at this in a 2016 car. This thread relates to 2012 997s - so it was an issue some time back (and a fix at a cost)

Ref map updates - I'm fortunate in having Connect Plus with online services and been able to do map updates over the air and for free. It also allows destination searches with Google which is little help here but for info way more accurate than postcodes
