Have you tried cleaning it?

I have tryed to clean it but it still we not work so I have ordered a new one which will be hear tomorrow but I am using the car anyway and drive slow ish.
Thanks again for all your help over the past few days.

You can run as long as you want with the MAF unplugged, The management systems detects out of range info (no signal) and defaults to its limited opperation strategy - It approximates what the fuel/air ratio needs to be, it is pretty accurate and everything will perform as normal.
Not sure it would get through an MOT but perhaps someone else could answer that, the emmissions may not be completly controlled in line with MOT regulations
