magnesium CUP 1s

Hi all

I have firsrt dibs on some magnesium cup1s.

Part numbers are below:

Front 993.362.124.00 17 x7 ET55 and Rear: 993.362.128.00 17 x 9 ET55

I didn't think CUP1s were an option on the 993RS. Are they late 964 RS numbers ?

Any info much appreciated.

thanks Bob

Have you seen these wheels??

Obvioulsy I haven't seen the wheels, but part no's sound like 17" Winter wheel options for 993's that were fitted with 18", as in RS & Turbo..

No mention of them being magnesium...I would be surprised, on the basis, they are for the winter, doubt magnesium and salt get on well and they were also available for the turbo.

Bob,
Genuine Cup 1 Magnesiums should be 7.5 x 17 ET55 on the front. The part numbers should start with 965. The wheels you've decribed certainly don't sound like genuine magnesiums.

Update: Just checked and the part numbers you have posted are for standard 993 Cup 2 wheels. Not magnesium, or Cup 1s.
See the list here: http://www.944racing.de/reload.php?urltogo=http://www.944racing.de/wheelweights.html

Are these the 'Orig. Magnesium Wheels Porsche 964 RS' wheels which were advertised on Pistonheads on Friday? If they are please PM me asap.

I think I have first dibs on them also......(pheads ones) Not sure how that works !
I asked the seller last night about the 993 part numbers and got no response yet through. I think I will be passing on these

It's a scam. Do NOT send any money. See thread below:

I know of 993 Cup Magnesium Speedline (centrelock and 5 x stud) --- but 17" 993 mags ? What insets ?

Hi. They are an Italian wheel. Not sure of the offsets but they ran on my car when it raced in the UK Carrera cup. Actually, they are a lovely wheel. 5 spoke, light and in very good order. I would definately have run them on my car but I'm running 18" and not 17"

Steve, if they are magnesium I would be interested in them for the 964RS. The N-GT.

Any info you can give would be useful --- I make it open on the Forum because the information is useful also to others ...

Hi Chris. just had a chance to look at the wheels. they are made by technomagnesio - how very italian! - fronts 8 x 17. Rears 9 x 17. no markings of offsets but I know that they fitted my 993 perfectly. They are in very good order and frankly do not warrant a full refurb maybe just shot blasted and re painted.
