Hi all.
MOT booked for next week, so just replaced the nearside bumper light (main beam and sidelight). This all works fine, but I'm just wondering how the lights should be pointing?
I.e. I put the headlights on, all works fine (general light in front of the car). I put the main beams on, and a patch of bright yellow light from the drivers side of the car hits the road about 2m ahead of the car on the right, but nothing similar happens from the passenger side. The passenger side main beam bumper light does work, but I'm not sure where it's pointing. On further investigation, it seems the bright patch from the drivers side may actually be coming from the main beam bulb (H4) in the pop up light. Just wondering how to adjust the angle of this (I had a look in the manual, and I know there are 4 screws to remove the pop up light, but it didn't mention adjustment), and also where the various beams on your cars point and should point?! It would be an arse to fail the MOT due to a light pointing in the wrong direction. (And no I don't have access to the light guage the MOT testers use, but it would be useful to know roughly where the beams should point...)
Cheers,
Giles
Edit - I did try the search, but got nothing useful.
