Hi all, i have just recently taken possession of a '89 944 S2 cabriolet but the user manual has long since been lost hence the following question....How do I disengage the motor for the roof in case I need to put the roof back up in an emergencey (battery failure or something)?

Cheers
Sid

Sid,
Remove the small round plastic covers on either side of the rear interior quarter panels and you should see a bolt - if you slacken this off either side you should be able to manually lift the hood up.

Awesome! Thanks for the tip 944cabby. Gives me a more confidence to get the roof down. Not knowing how to get it back up in an emergency was a little unsettling.

In hindsight. Perhaps I should have done the same as you.8) Mine is stuck in teh down position. Going to look for these nuts now.
