Geoff,
I was on the island yesterday setting the cottage CH controls for the winter & a last grass cut,so when I saw the TV news as it was happening almost ,I did think of the PCGB Manx tour.

Knowing how slowly the construction industry "happens " on the IOM,I thought that it might not be open again for accommodation by next May-& in particular for the TT weeks, but they were saying that the other services would be soon available again.

My cottage sleeps 4 so there's an offer already![:)]

Colin.
I got a call from 'Steam Packet' early this morning. At that time the fire was still raging but it was assumed that the entire accomodation block was lost.
We discussed alternative venues but in my opinion there isn't one as good as the MM mainly due to parking facilities.

The Manx Tour is now a bi annual event so it looks like 2015. The upside is that it will be in a re-vamped and improved Mount Murray.

I was at the point of making the announcement for the 2014 event in Porsche Post but will now, obviously hold back on that.

I will keep everyone informed on this thread. I am expecting a call from the 'Packet' by Tuesday.

Geoff
