Hi, Des,
Just a short message to thank you and your family for my excerlent accomodation & nosh Sun. evening it was very much appreciated.

Sorry Guys to interupt your busy forum, but, Des and I had a great day at Brands today along Vic [GT2] ,Pete Skelton [Sussex Sec] and a few more to assist in a Press day, compliments of the club, basically, photo shoot and track morning, usual foremat " drivers briefing" [ GO STEADY to start with track could be greasy!!!!] etc. etc.
Track opens, to the roar of an urgent white RS, OUT LIKE A ROCKET WENT OUR hero ,approaching Clearways, right peddle buried in to the floor, STRAIGHT INTO the gravel!!!!!

I doubted whether this little excursion would have been brought to your notice.

unfortunatley I missed capturing Des' excursion on film (I was 100 yards behind him) but some of the other stuff is on the Gallery

You can see by Jeff`s geat photo [040.] what happened when Des braked early for Paddock !!.

Damn it i ve got the full sand trap shot but it seems too big to upload !!!
Great day Guys .

You nasty old bunch - fancy embarrassing Des in front of his mates on the forum. I think we are all guilty of a little over enthusiasm every now and again (I certainly am [:D]).

I could recount stories of high curbs at service stations and "cold tyres" at SPA but that would make me nasty too [;)]

Des - hope the car is not too worse for wear.

Car and Driver absolutely fine, passenger gone off to see a shrink.....he was a reporter for one of the local papers.....told him as it was my first laps that I would take it very easy so no big moments and nothing too exciting!!!**""@#';.........his mate jumped straight in hoping for similar treatment, however after a bollocking from the Marshall took it a bit easier.......Funny bit like my Golf!

Des gets his badger wings!!!

I hope your Porsche Crests weren't damaged, Des, and that the scuffs will polish out. [;)]

No scuffs or Badgers just a gentle twirl which I controlled after much practice and rolled the back wheels in a steady fashion softly onto the sandy kerb to avoid oncoming traffic, a masterly piece of control........[&:]
