As you all know Brian has arranged the use of the rolling road at Star Performance Fife on Sun March 14 starting at 10.30.
The specialist tuner Wayne Schofield is booked to tune a couple of cars on the day it will be very interesting to see what this laptop wizard can achieve. We will have the privelige of seeing the UK's top Porsche tuner at work and the regions contact with him can only be good news for anyone wanting their ECUs optimised in the future.
It would be really useful to guage the numbers interested in using the rolling road for power test runs, these take around 20 min per car, as I wish to let Wayne work reasonably undisturbed when tuning and it will mean less hanging around for all concerned.
So in summary let me know if you are coming along as 1. Power run road user. 2. Interested observer
The day is set out primarily as a power run day for members, the tuning thing is an extra that Boydy and I wish to do given the opportunity, so please do come and give your car a workout and find out why you are so slow!!!
It is remotely possible that there may be time for one extra car to be tuned on the day ( cost around £300 plus road time) BUT it depends entirely on the time factor, but if you are willing to hang around and can cope with disappointment.........

Mike ( in the role of mini kitchenmeister)

See most of you at the meet on Tues or poss Knockhill on Sun

Thanks Mike for your imput Yes it would be nice to know numbers ,if only out of courtesy to our host at Star Performance see you all soon Cheers Brian RO1

I would be very interested in coming along to that day! As a power road user.

I am based in Aberdeen, where do I find out more info?

Thanks

Check out the website www.starperformance.co.uk and there is a map in the site.It may be you could meet members on the way but that can be tricky to arrange.
If you need more info than that check your P Post and call the R01 RO.

I am actually in Edinburgh the night before, so I will be driving up from there.

Will check out the website, thanks................

I really wanted to come to this but am travelling back up from London that day. Have you got contact details (I would like him to have a look at my car at some other time if poss.)

cheers

Jonathan

Brian Mike book me in as i need extra ponies to overtake Casey Jones (engineer from N,M)[8D][8D]

Yes But I need to try to get power run numbers sorted to give Wayne a start time to avoid a lot of hanging around.

Yes, count me in.....

I may be limping home after the Knockhill 'Novice Track Day' on the Saturday though.....

Contrary to my belief last night that the Hot Marques day collides with this (it doesn't - it's on the saturday) then I'll be along. May not be putting my car on the rolling road, but certainly along to see what it's all about (so long as I don't kill the car on the satuday at KnockHill).

911sse - I'll probably be going along to the Hot Marques after your track day school (I did it in november - you'll love it!), if you want a couple of passenger laps to see what the full day is like then hang around and tap me on the shoulder - seal grey boxster reg G3 MCA

ATTENTON ALL MEMBERS.
[yes Mike I know Iam shouting ] could you give me some idea as to the number of members that are coming along as some of the people are getting tuning work done and need extra road time . It has been suggested that the Glasgow guys @ gals meet up and go through in convoy 10/4 .Perhaps we could meet at Harthill Services at 9.15 am. Lets have your comments .
Cheers Brian RO1

Yip i will be there.....

p.s. just to put it out there the M80 / Kincardine bridge way is nice.

I think due to the time we meet the Edinburgh M8 would be the most direct ? Cheers Brian RO1
