Region 21 members, This is a brief update to remind you that our March Monthly meeting will be on Tuesday 6th March at The Rose and Crown, Hawridge, Chesham, Buckinghamshire, HP5 2UG, 01494 758944. This month we have Gary Marsh from A Need for Speed joining us to give us a talk on "Performance Driving" which should be very interesting as Gary has considerable experience in racing and instructing and is a keen Porsche driver. At our following meeting on Tuesday April 3rd we have 911 Virgin coming to talk about buying and selling Porsches. The Rose & Crown is located only a few minutes from the A41 & M25 in the quaint village of Hawridge, which is situated 3 miles from Chesham and 4 miles from Tring and Berkhamsted. The pub's website contact area www.roseandcrownhawridge.co.uk/contact-us/ has detailed information on how to find it. For those using the good old Ordnance Survey maps, use map 165 and look at map reference 165-949 062 to find the Rose & Crown. Looking forward to seeing you in March, The Chiltern Region Committee

I'll have to try harder to get to this one! I've met Gary once but have yet to have a coaching session from him. He's sharing a drive in the GT3 Challenge Cup this season.

Just to add that I grabbed a last-minute booking with Gary today at Abingdon Airfield to get some more grip limit awareness training as well as to find out what Gary thought of my current track driving skills. For those in the region who haven't already done one of his courses, I can really recommend it as he is an incredibly good tutor - very easy to get on with and a great sense of humour.

Unfortunately on my return I found a nice letter from West Mercia Constabulary. Rather ironic I think that I spend a whole day on a course to teach me to drive faster, yet when I get home I find an invite to go on a course to teach me to drive slower.
