PCGB. Region 9. West Midlands

Our Meetings are on the First Tuesday of the Month. Always at the Bear Inn, Berkswell unless advertised otherwise.

A slow start to the New Year, with only fourteen of us gathering at the Bear. Come on R9, let's put the numbers up. Nevertheless, a lot of interest in visits to Meguiars and the Karting event. Note, the information below.

Please Note

Shelsley Walsh

This has been moved to Bank Holiday Monday, the 5th of May. We shall have our usual spot, which will be marked by our Region banners etc. As this is a Porsche Championship Event, I have also invited the Porsche Enthusiasts Club, so we should have a good crowd.

Karting Is now changed to Friday 18th April. An evening session. There is no food, only drinks. It is often cold, so wrap up. With Aston Martin Owners Club as usual, a greatly enjoyed event and usually there are a few Jaguar Drivers Club members hanging on. Try to be there for 6.30pm for briefing.

Places are filling up, it will be first come, first served, therefore now I cannot guarantee a place. However, if you wish to come, please send me a cheque for £35.00 made out to "C.T.Snowdon" as soon as possible and I will at least, put you on the reserves. The cheque will not be cashed until your place is confirmed.

Concours.

We shall be running a Region 9 Concours on Sunday the 8th June. This will be at Hillhouse Farm, Berkswell, CV7 7AZ, as last year. We have been asked about arranging it at a National Trust property or similar, but this costs money and to date, the numbers attending have not justified this. Nevertheless, Paul Seagrave's Hillhouse Farm, does offer us the grandeur of a Georgian House setting and I am sure will do us justice. Subject to H & S details, there will some other family interests included. If you wish to improve on this in 2009, mark the requirement with your feet (or your tyres).

Curborough.

Thursday afternoon on the 8th May. Be there by noon, we have to finish at 6pm, latest. Last year, we were sponsored, we cannot always expect this, so this time, the cost will be £25.00 per car. You should get eight or so goes, so this is still very good value. There is a limit of 30 cars, that is the first 30 booked on the day, when you can pay. Spectators are welcome, no cost. Hopefully the food wagon will be there as last year, at modest cost. Remember, we have to pay for the Track and any extra over will be donated to the Air Ambulance as last year.
