Maritime & Riviera Blue

Glenn,
Mine is a 1992 production 93MY Maritime which I believe is darker than Riviera which came later.
I have a good picture but I can't attach cos there's too many pixies or elves or the wizard is not working.....

Cheers
Dave.

Thanks chaps

This is what is confusing me[] Maritime Blue was the colour for 92 & 93, Riviera was the colour for 94. But I've seen pics of cars that are allegedly Riviera blue and they are darker than those which are Maritime.

Glenn

It seems to me that Maritime is particularly light sensitive.

ie it looks light blue in strong sunlight, but almost mauve in poor light.

Was only initially convinced that mine was Maritime from the colour code sticker under the bonnet. However I really liked the colour 'as seen' and was unconcerned as to what it was actually called.

Regards.

Mike

Thanks Mike

I like both colours, but I was looking at the 2 cars here http://www.specialistcarsltd.co.uk/porschesales968.html and I thought the colours were vice versa, ie, Riviera was darker as a car I was told was Maritime was very light blue.

Glenn

Glenn,

I can confirm that Riviera is the lighter of the two. The 968 looks great in either shade.

Cheers,

Rob
