According to this site, your car hasn't got laqueur preservation or chrome preservation.
Now, does anyone know what that means??[&:]

Mine also has the 666 option - or should that be doesnt have the option given the fact it seems to be opting out of something ?
Most weird, if anyone does have an explanation would be really interested as to what its all about too.

in 1985 Porsche offered the option of having a clear over base paint job rather than just a basecoat paint job.
In other words, instead of the car just being painted guards red... after it was painted it was sprayed with a few coats of laquer... if you have option 666 this was not done.
Some people (me included) dont like clear over base paint jobs even though the laquer protects the paint a little from UV damage (fade), its more expensive to fix if you have stone chips or scratches.

As far as I understand this comprises of bigger brakes, adjustable koni suspension (which you can tell due to the small nipple sticking out the top of the strut with two flat sides for adjustment) thicker anti roll bars and I'm not sure if a LSD was included as part of or was a seperate option?!
But Jon (Indi9xx) will be able to confirm alot better than this.

Was M030 an option on Lux's? Don't they have a completely different wishbone/hub assembly than the S2's and turbo's? The M030 hub assembly is very similar in design to the standard S2/turbo hub but slightly modified to accommodate the different calipers.
M030 also includes stiffer torsion bars.

LSD wasn't part of M030 except on the 968.
I remember Diver944's mention of a RHD M030 turbo that did not have M220. That was some years ago and it would be nice to have more info on this car.
I struggle to understand why one turbo would have left the factory with M030 but without M220 when period sales brochures mentioned LSD as part of the handling package.

My understanding is, and i'm sure there are some aspects which are incorrect and someone will duely correct my, on the early 220 turbo's the LSD and oil cooler was an option on the cars (as was M030). I.e. you could either have an LSD without an oil cooler or an LSD with an oil cooler. The special edition Silver Roses (from late '87) had the M030 option and LSD with oil cooler option as standard but after the Silver Rose run finished for some reason there was a year ('88 I think) where the 250 Turbo S's reverted to having the non-LSD gearbox and in '89 on the LSD gearbox with oil cooler was back on the standard options list.

Another one of my option codes is the "UK Lux Pack" - does anyone know what was included in that ?
The '88 Turbos were 220's unless they were Silver Rose spec. As such they didn't have LSD unless specified. All '89 -on Turbos had LSD, though I guess Porsche would have omitted it if you asked them to for some reason.
BTW the early 220 cars (all 220 cars?) with the optional LSD didn't have an oil cooler on it.

Here is some info on gearbox codes :
5P : No LSD, with oil cooler (MY '86, '87, '88)
UY : No LSD, no oil cooler (MY '87, '88 )
5R : with LSD, with (MY '86, '87, '88 )
9U : LSD, no oil cooler (MY '87, '88)
AOR : LSD, with oil cooler ('88 S, '89, '90, '91)
From which one can deduce all '86 220 cars have oil cooler as standard.
I can't find any info on '85 cars though.
