market value

Hi

Not aware of any taboos on discussing values - several threads relating to trade in values, costs etc on the site

I think 993's appeal to a specific buyer, and there are not thousands of them :) market is probably pretty seasonal

I have noticed that the cars that hang around a bit are usually those that either have a fair number of miles on them (unless they have a very large number and someone can pick up a bargain),

Worked for me [:D]

Agreed that there are some colour / interior combinations that will put the majority of people off a car

I think also the condition of the cars has a strong effect - people who are looking to buy a 993 are probably now mostly enthusiasts, rather than the "I fancy a Porsche" type of buyer, and are looking for cars in the top end of the condition range. I think if you went to actually view some of the cars that hang around for a while, you would probably find some tired examples.

Don't understand the general taboo over discussions around market values. I find it another fun (not as much as driving and owning admittedly!) and fascinating subject. For those that do like to discuss, it seems to me there are quite a few ads of cars that have been for sale for a wee while. maybe the market is slipping a little. Any thoughts anyone?
