Porsche Design Store London Martini Night!

Thursday 3 May
6pm - 9pm.

Following discussions with the Porsche Design Store in London, they are inviting us to the following special event. It would be great to show your support for this as they are specially going out of their way for PCGB. They have also advised us that there may be a Porsche Cars GB official present.

Please let us know if you are planning to attend so we can advise them of approximate numbers.

The Porsche Design Store is located on Bond Street at:

119 New Bond Street
London
W1S 1EP

Hope to see you there.

Please note that this event will replace the usual Covent Garden meet at the Porterhouse for the month of May only.

Adrien, as it's a 60 second walk from my office, I'll see you there. If we get bored of Martini, I know a few half decent watering holes in the area...

Matthew.

Anyone planning to drive please give me a shout and I tell you some safe parking spots: all meters and single yellow lines are free parking after 6:30pm; Congestion charge ends at 6pm.

I tried to see if Porsche Mayfair can spare some spaces but they have no parking on their premises as it is just a showroom but they informed me that parking in Berkley Square is safe and free after 6:30pm which is a few minute walk to New Bond Street.

Remember Martinis and driving don't go together, so best to have a designated driver [;)]; nearest tube station is Bond Street Station.

Thursday is also a late night shopping day in the West End, so most of the shops will be open till 8pm...

Since it is a short notice invite, it will not make it for the Porsche Post, so please pass the news on to those who do not visit the forum...

The Porsche Design Store have also booked us a reservation around the corner at Rocket (clicky here) for after the event to put our shopping bags down. Will be a nice place to dine and relax... [:)]

If you don't mind my company again, would love to make it, plus a guest.

Decided to drive from Kent into the big smoke, will be there about 7.00pm though.

Will be good to see you again Cliff; give me a shout if you want to know the parking spots or are you a NCP man?

The Porsche Design Store has already made the reservation for us at Rocket by booking a private room - it is helpful to have a venue for 30+ people on a Thursday night in the West End! Just to manage expectations: Porsche are NOT paying for us at Rocket and expenses incurred there are to be paid by patrons as normal.

Several people from Porsche Cars GB will be attending including the dealer principle from Mayfair OPC. I think they will also be bringing a car along for the occasion [:)]

I have been advised by the Store today that parking on the roadside in front of the store is free from 630pm onwards.

Hope to see everyone there! It promises to be a good evening. Feel free to invite colleagues and friends who may be interested in anything Porsche!

Adrien

Sorry, going to have to bail. Need to have be at home at 7pm. If I can back into town, I will! Have a good evening, Matthew.

great evening Ade, good job !

regards
from all those card carrying members of the PCGB from 911uk.com ! [:D]
