Once again John and Rita did us proud with their organisation and route, it has been a brilliant day out and to me just what club membership is all about. Thanks to John Hawkins for his very tasty hospitality, it is most appreciated.

It was also really great to see lots of new faces, not that there is too much wrong with the old ones (well not all of them anyway). I think today was a record turnout. I also think the roads were quite new to some so that was brilliant. It was also good to meet members from other Regions, the usual R3 suspects (that was our first Panamera on a run and I think we were followed by a Cayenne) and good to have some southern cousins along for the ride, Cambridgeshire and Berkshire.

It was also really nice that people in Whitby felt they could come and talk to us once we got parked up, those 39 Porsches looked good glinting in the sun, I think there may have been a few more but we ran out of parking space. If anyone has any photos, especially of all the cars parked up can you let me have copies. My camera was on Cub Parade today.

We raised £95 in the raffle for Air Ambulance so that is a great total, thank you to everyone for the generosity.

Shame the drive home wasn't as much fun, really why would you buy a Jaguar S Type R and then drive it like a Nissan Micra [&:] But at least I got home before the rain started so the car is still clean [:D]

Stopped briefly for the view.

My wife and I would also like to add our thanks for such excellent organisation and hospitality. Seeing Porsches stretching in front and behind us on those glorious moors roads is something I'll remember for a long time.

Thanks very much for a cracking day and lovely Fish and Chips! Hope to see some of you in (very flat) Cambridgeshire in the future.

Couldn't agree more. Thanks to John & Rita, also to Malton Specialist Cars for their warm welcome this morning. Lisa and I had a great day (even though Lisa managed to get the best roads yet again!) Fish n chips were excellent as usual. As was the company. Hope M666 wasn't too loud for some. I think it's a great safety feature.

Mike & Lisa.

Great day, great company, great route just wish Rita could get the roads around here repaired as well as she got North Yorks to repair the ones we were on today. Sorry forgot the fish and chips, yorkshires finest and thanks to John and Specialist cars for their hospitality. Good to see so many cars

Thanks Rita & John for a cracking drive again from R3
Mark we brought both the panamera & Cayenne from our region

A lovely day out. Good roads, weather ,beer, food, company. What more do you need? Thanks Rita for your excellent organising skills and thanks John for letting her get on with it[:D]
Got stuck behind a fire engine with blues and twos on over the moors, wasn't sure whether you are allowed to pass an emergency vehicle so kept behind just in case. Didn't half give it some hammer when he'd gone though to make up for it[;)] Linda held up well but was a bit green when we got home. [:'(]Nothing however that couldn't be sorted out with some rennies, alka seltzer, soda water, paracetamol, bisodol and a lie down in a darkened room for a couple of hours!

Same from us .

First time out for us. Had a lovely time

Highlights - being in and amongst almost all the best generations of 911 for and aft whilst straddling the moors, John's peachy jeans (black 997), the excellent parking arrangements, and driving home in tandem with 'twocoats' and partner in his lovely 3.2.
the low points - getting left behind at the pub (after my third pint), and the seagull deposits (although i think its supposed to be good luck.)

thanks john and rita

Only second time out with club, what a lovely day out in Whitby. Didn,t have fish n chips in Trenches but opted for chips down by
the harbour. Loved the red Supersport, quick run back with eaurouge and family.

3.2 coupe iris blue.

Step into spring with the Ollie Murs look from Next, keep up with the trend, sorry about the droppings it is lucky.
Thanks Rita and John it was a great day, and venues, great lunch and VIP parking to boot.
Cheers Karen and Jon.

Our sentiments to all of the above.
We need to do this in summer also (with proper sunshine and warm weather!)
As always, great company and the drive over the top was awesome!
I agree, nice to see some new faces, you are all welcome on every run this year.
Only had one small seagull splat but I'm sure Daniel will was the car on his day off on Wednesday (hmmm. clean Dad's car or play on Xbox - no competition!)

Thanks again John & Rita (Oh, and my wife for keeping up with us with her Mum riding shotgun)

See you all again soon

John

Massive vote of thanks to John and Rita from Chris and I for a very nostalgic drive across the moors and a wonderful first of fish and chips at Trenchers. Left Whitby at 5.30 for our 300 mile trip back home after a great day out. Car had been sat in the garage for 6 months and didn't miss a beat on it's 600 mile round trip - what wonderful cars we are privileged to own.

Well organised and an enjoyable day out, thanks again to Rita & John, looking forward to the next time!

What a brilliantly organised day out. special thanks to John & Rita again for the organisation and weather. How do you you do that?
And many thanks to John Hawkins and his team, it is much appreciated. We too were held up from Sleights to Hole of Horcum by a fire engine, where he pulled off presumably to see how he could reach the grass fire down in the valley. Probably caused by the steam train.

Pleased everyone enjoyed the day out - we always seem to be lucky with the weather - perhaps being on the drier side of Yorkshire has something to do with it!

Photographs very good - loved the one of the lambs crossing the road - really surprised how quiet it was apart from Whitby.

Would like to thank John Hawkins for his hospitality and in particular, John's wife Tanya for putting on such a wonderful spread.

Also Mark for the raffle and raising money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Thanks to you all

Rita & John

It's been a few years since we've done one of these runs and we thoroughly enjoyed it, many thanks to the organisers and SC [;)]
