Master Cylinder Question

Has anyone removed the brake fluid reservior and looked inside the master cylinder on an ABS car and noticed the thin metal washer that sits inside one of the ports on the master cylinder under the rubber grommets? Mine fell out when I was cleaning it while I was repainting the brake booster and I just wanted to make sure I put it back in the right one!

It looks like a thin metal washer with a hole in it.... it can only go back in one of the two ports where the rubber grommets mount the fluid reservior....I cant find anything written about it in the workshop manual or anywhere else that I have searched online!

does this help:-

Yes, that how it was on my old lux with abs. The washer is in the port furthest from the bulkhead with the 20 next to it. Sorry for the crap mobile phone pic.

Thanks James, that was very useful. Note to self look inside of things before turning them upside down!
